It's a Music qualification that almost all of our students take part in.
It gives children a lot of opportunities, not only in a Music career but also in whatever path they choose in life. ABRSM exams count towards UCAS points for any university.
Children gain a lot of skills during preparation for the exam and have a goal to look forward to.
There are two types of ABRSM exams:
Practical exam:
The candidates play 3 contrasting pieces, scales, signs reading. There is also an aural test where they sing and answer a few musical questions.
Performance exam:
The candidates record 4 contrasting pieces in a row at home and submit a video.
